MIX
Fill the Kitewash sprayer with 2 full caps of Kite Shampoo and top up with water.
SPRAY
Spray evenly across the entire kite surface. Ensure complete coverage. Let it work for at least 1 minute, but do not let it dry.
RINSE
Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Let the kite dry normally.

Is Kitewash safe for my kite?
Yes. Kitewash is formulated specifically for kite fabrics. It contains no solvents, perfumes, or dyes, and it’s safe even on white kites.
Why shouldn’t I just use fresh water?
Fresh water helps rinse off the surface, but salt often remains trapped deep in seams, stitching, and fabric structure. Kitewash dissolves salt more effectively and adds UV protection, helping your gear last longer.
Does Kitewash affect the hydrophobic coating or seams?
Not at all. Kitewash is designed to clean without damaging the factory-applied coating or adhesives. It actually helps preserve them by preventing salt buildup and UV degradation.
Can I use Kitewash on bars, lines, or wings?
Yes – we offer specialized versions for control bars, lines, and wings. Each formula is tailored to the materials and needs of that specific gear type.
Can I use a brush, sponge, or cloth to help clean my kite?
We do not recommend using any tools like brushes or sponges, as they may damage the kite fabric. Simply spray with Kitewash, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and let it dry naturally.

Absolutely. All our formulas are marine-safe, so you can use your gear without harming the ocean.
